How you can help -
Volunteer:
We need all the attorney volunteers available. Our need
exceeds the resources. You don’t have to be an expert in a
certain field. You can sit in on advice clinics, be mentored by
experienced volunteer attorneys, get free CLE credit and it really
feels good. Anyone can represent clients in Homeless Court. We will
train you. Your committment of as little as 4 hours a year is a great
benefit to our clients who have no where else to turn.
Where you bank matters:
A portion of our funding comes from the
interest on lawyer trust accounts (IOLTA). Choose a bank that pays
the best interest rates. It may seem like a little thing but these
dollars add up and support our ongoing efforts to provide civil
legal aid to those who are at a disadvantage in the legal system.
